The new Paper Making magazine, which will launch in March, will feature stories on the history of papermaking from around the world, including a feature on papermaking in China.
Reynes, who is also a co-founder of the company, says the magazine is an extension of her life and that she is inspired by her daughter Claire’s passion for creating.
“I wanted to write about the things I love, and to make the papermaking world look good, not just look good for me,” Reynes said in a statement.
“I have a deep love for the craft, and I want to inspire other women and men to love papermaking too.”
The Paper Making, which is named for the paper itself, will cover topics ranging from papermaking and papermaking history to the current challenges faced by the industry.
Reinks hopes the magazine will help women find their voice, and give them an outlet to share their craft and craftmaking experiences.
“With the magazine, we hope to raise awareness and promote the importance of making a positive contribution to the world,” Reinks said.
“A woman who is self-made is also self-sufficient and can do whatever she wants with her own materials.
We hope the magazine provides women with tools and inspiration that will inspire them to become the best that they can be.”
Reynes will join other female creators in the magazine’s first issue.
It will feature interviews with authors, film and television producers, educators, entrepreneurs, and other industry figures.
“We are really excited to see how our work will be received by our readers and to be part of the growing trend of women making their own work,” Reinsy said.
Reynes has made a career in making paper for more than 40 years, and she said she hopes to continue her legacy.
“If I could have just kept doing what I do, I would be doing it right now,” she said.
