Kicking off the next wave of papermaking with a new book: A hand papermaking guide from a woman from the trenches

A new book called A Hand Papermaking Guide to the New Era of Papermaking by Monica Woodpapermaker is getting a wide release, including a digital version on Apple’s App Store, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The book, which is titled Hand Papermaker, features a wealth of interviews with the person behind the process, as well as an introduction by her mother.

The author also makes a few recommendations for newbies to start using hand paper.

Here’s a rundown of what’s new in the book: • The basics of making paper, from basics like cutting to a little more advanced topics like shaping, stapling, and gluing.

• An overview of how to create the basic shapes and patterns that will go into your first two to four paperworks.• Tips for making paper that won’t get stuck or ripped in a hurry.• A list of materials, shapes, and sizes that are essential to the finished product.• Some tips on how to avoid overworking your tools, including tips on when to use them and what to do if you get a break.

The book is due to be released on June 5, 2018.
