“It’s a good day for papermakers,” said David Breslau, president of the American Paperworkers Association, adding that the association had been working on the study for about six years.
“There are some positive signs, but we still have a long way to go.”
The association said it would continue its work to expand its study and bring in more experts to the study.
“It’s good news that there is an increasing recognition of the importance of papermaking for the United States,” Bresluas said.
“But the issue is, how do we get the most value out of that?”
